Shackles Book Cover Shackles Book Launch

Shackles, the new book illustrated by Leslie Pratt-Thomas and written by Marjory Wentworth, our South Carolina poet laureate, is now available. Thank you to all who came out for the book launch at Sandpiper Gallery in February. We sold out of books at the opening, but books are currently available at either gallery, local bookstores, and may be ordered from the publisher's site.The publisher’s information is posted below.

Look for this image on the cover of New York Times best-selling author Mary Alice Monroe’s book entitled Swimming Lessons. plein air painters Sullivan's Island Plein Air Painters

The Sullivan's Island Plein Air Painters have painted on location together on a weekly basis since about 1998 rain or shine although occasionally they set up a still life if the weather is really inclement. They are a committed group and loyal friends. A sampling of their plein air work can be seen in the window along the side of Saks in downtown Charleston.
